Lille Grand Palais: An Array of Possibilities

Lille Grand Palais provides a diverse variety of offerings. We recently spoke with its president, Mr. Richir.

Flexible and state-of-the-art

With three auditoriums, several meeting rooms, the large Zenith area, and flexible exhibition halls, Lille Grand Palais offers highly versatile event solutions. “We have the ability to offer our customers a wide range of choices, depending on the size of their event and their particular needs, ranging from a few hundred square meters to use of the entire building. With 28 meeting rooms and 20,000 square meters of exhibition hall, we can comfortably welcome up to 5,000 delegates.”

Numerous digital screens located throughout the premises ensure that visitors can comfortably find their way, and also serve to communicate all sorts of messages, such as information on programmes, schedules and external events. The entire network, and in particular the wifi system and capability to host Smartphones, tablets and printers, has been upgraded. “We have the ability to host thousands of connections simultaneously, which is a huge asset for events related to technology, such as online selling, for example.”

Located in the heart of Lille

An attractive asset of Lille Grand Palais is its location right in the city centre. “We are a ten-minute walk from Lille’s Europe station, which links the TGV from across northern Europe and the Ile de France. Attendees can enjoy a pleasant stroll from the station to their hotel and Lille Grand Palais in the friendly city of Lille. ” The professionalism of the hospitable staff, noted for excellence in incorporating client needs into commercial proposals, is another strength of Lille Grand Palais. “Our team of 80 permanent staff bend over backwards to provide customised solutions to our customers.” Lille Grand Palais’ offering covers both the rental of spaces as well as the organisation of an entire event, or elements of it. “We really strive for full customer satisfaction.” Recent customer surveys reveal extremely high satisfaction rates of 95% – proof that efforts have indeed paid off.

Welcoming the world

Today, Lille Grand Palais aims to further increase its international clientele. “We are well poised to welcome more events of a pan-European, and even global nature.” In early October, Lille Grand Palais will host Euroskills, the European trade skills championships, for which 500 competitors and over 100,000 visitors are expected. Looking further ahead, between 2015 and 2020, Lille Grand Palais intends to increase its exhibition space to up to 35-40 thousand square metres in order to host even larger events.
