Philippe Joseph is the Marketing Director for Ingram Micro France. He is in charge of the organisation of the Ingram Showcase which took place at Lille Grand Palais this year and it makes a warm comeback of this 2017 edition.
How did the organisation of the Ingram Showcase go in Lille this year?
It was certainly a challenge but especially related to the remoteness of the Paris centralisation in terms of transport. Indeed, we take our resellers-visitors to the place of the event and the objective was to receive the same number of visitors as in Paris the previous years.
Fortunately this logistical problem was solved at the beginning of the year, which allowed us to devote ourselves to the actual organisation.
For a company based in Lille for 28 years, this is the first time that our showcase is held in the north and we found in the Grand Palais with 10,000 square metres, a place adapted to our Ingram standards with large aisles and spaces of conviviality, ….
This show remains a professional event made available to our suppliers to meet our customers identified in each region of France with a volume oscillating between 2200 and 2400 people.
Do you have a first return for the 2017 edition?
We noticed from all of our suppliers that the visitors were very interested to discover the solutions and spent a long time at the stands. All the exhibitors really played their part by putting solutions on their stands that answer the resellers’ current problems.
