The consumer heartbeat of Europe
At a time when companies around the world are developing new geo-marketing strategies to decide where to invest and set up operations, we needed to provide an up-to-date sales pitch for our region. So, together with the Nord-Pas de Calais Regional Council, we have undertaken some new research.

The result?
Lille & its region have, within a radius of 300km, the consumer market with highest potential purchasing power (1,524 billion euro) in the whole of Europe – ahead of Cologne, Brussels, Dusseldorf, London and Paris. We also have the second highest concentration of consumer households in the same radius, just behind Cologne and ahead of Dusseldorf.

And if you were to take this one step further and calculate internationally, Lille and its surrounding region would come just behind Tokyo and New York in terms of numbers of consumer households and purchasing power.

Another good reason for coming to Lille Metropole to meet and do business….
